We know how some things can make a big difference to your stay. Tell us what extra services you would like and we’ll do our very best to provide them.

Here are a few we have thought of, but feel free to make other requests.

Grocery orders

Order a grocery delivery for the day of your arrival, and we will unpack it for you. So you avoid any stress in getting here in time to receive it.

Just let us know the delivery slot and we’ll put things away in the fridge, freezer and shelves in the kitchen.

This way your start to the stay is not unpacking the shopping!

Pets

Pets are welcome at the property, provided we agree you bring them at the time of booking and the fee of £50 per pet per stay is paid.

All pets must be house trained, and the number and type of pet must not exceed what was agreed at the time of booking.

All the gardens around the house are fenced.

Cleaning during your stay

If you wish, we can provide cleaning of the house while you’re here.

Tell us what you’d like before your come and we’ll respond with a plan and what it will cost.

Caterers

We have several excellent local caterers we can recommend, who will tailor a menu to your requirements.

Their ingredients tend to be seasonal and very local to us here in Somerset.

The chefs can deliver a pre-prepared meal and bring it for you to warm through. Or they can cook and serve it at the house.

Cakes to celebrate

Many of our guests come for special occasions: birthdays, weddings, anniversaries.

If you would like a special cake, we can put you in touch with several talented local cake makers.

Extra bedrooms and bathrooms

If you love the look of Lubborn, but need more single occupancy bedrooms/baths, we can recommend an Airbnb just 5 minutes walk down Lubborn Lane.

Orchard End has 3 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Book the two houses together and you’ll have 11 bedrooms with 7 baths.

Yoga and pilates

Lubborn is a great house for yoga. During lockdown we ran online yoga classes from the studio and can recommend some excellent local yoga and pilates instructors, who we know well.

In summer, a particular favourite is yoga in the walled garden, which has a large, sheltered level lawn, where you can be at one with Nature.

Ask us when you book the house, and we’ll connect you with the instructors.

Babysitting

We can introduce you to a trusted local babysitter on request.

Taxi services

We have several local taxi companies we can recommend, both for local trips during your stay and airport transfers.

Extra logs

We provide three large baskets of seasoned hard wood logs for your use in the house, or on the fire pit, during your stay.

Extra logs are £15 a tub. You’ll find these in the well house, behind the kitchen.

Payment is by cash or bank transfer.

Marquee in a field

New for 2024, we have levelled an area of a 3-acre field opposite the house for a 50 x 40ft marquee (15.24 x 12.19m). It’s a fabulous SW-facing site for weddings, anniversaries or big birthdays.

The field can take all the parking and facilities you need for a large number of off-site guests.
